I Gave Dating A Chance

I Gave Dating a Chance by Jeremy Clark is another book about dating!! Amazing I know! Actually this book is about having a godly relationship with another human being (of the opposite sex) and how to go about that. Which sounds like dating... Yeah it basically is, but Jeremy Clark describe what can go wrong or how you can get to know another person. This book is more for an older age group like 13-17ish yrs. I actually enjoyed this one and FINISHED IT! It had many ideas for dates, lets you know what is kind of going on in the other person's mind and such. I hope you take a chance with this book. And keep checking back for more books.

Before You Meet Prince Charming

Before You Meet Prince Charming by Sarah Mally is basically a book to guide young girls in a godly relationship. This book actually says that dating is a bad thing and really just points out all the bad things that can happen when you become too intimate with a boy. I would recommend this book for ages 10-12ish but no older. I am 14 and didn't enjoy it at all (sorry!). My opinion of dating didn't follow what this book had to say and I never actually finished this book. I suppose younger kids may actually learn something from it, and really, it is actually well written. What really bothered me about this book and made me not want to finish it, was the fact that the author was not married at the time, but yet was giving young girls a guide on how to find the one. (Basically she said wait until the man comes along and asks your father, and not to have guy friends- which, I have many guy friends and that made me rather wary.) Sarah Mally's way of giving advice was through a story about a young princess who lived in a good home and had great parents, but was being given wrong advice from an evil crocodile. So if you have a child 10-12ish yrs old you may consider this book, but I wouldn't advise making your older children read it. Stay tuned for more books!
